MyVOYPIC NEWS - JULY 23
Welcome to MyVOYPIC News!
We hope you’re having a great summer, even though the weather hasn’t been great for the past few days! We’ve got lots to tell you about, including exciting opportunities coming up in VOYPIC over the summer, so we decided to do a wee newsletter. Remember, if you want more info about any of this, or there’s something you want to put in the next MyVOYPIC News, just give me a shout.

Children’s Social Care Services Review – Report
We want to say a massive THANK YOU to all members of the Experts by Experience Reference Group who have worked so hard since April 2022 as part of the review process with Professor Jones and the Advisory Panel. And to everyone who took part in our workshops last summer, shared their stories, and gave us their ideas for the review. We are extremely grateful to you all for your determination to make children’s services in Northern Ireland the best it can be.
A prelaunch event was held in the Long Gallery, Stormont on Tuesday 20 June with the Advisory Panel and members from the EBE Reference Group, to recognise their participation and present them with certificates and awards. The Report by Professor Jones was officially launched on Wednesday 21 June in Stormont Hotel, you can read the report in full here
We want to know what you think of the recommendations in the report. Over the next few months, we’ll be asking young people for their views and ideas, which we’ll report ack to the Department of Health. If this is something you would be interested in getting involved in, please contact me on 07854255554 or email brenda.kilpatrick@voypic.org
