Our participation groups are places where you can meet other young people both in and leaving care, share experiences, and have your say on the issues that matter to you. And, most importantly, have fun too!

We believe it’s really important for you to be able to connect with other young people in care, and we’ve lots of great ways to help you do just that. You’ll get a chance to share your experience – and have fun too!
Participation Forums
We’ve got groups that meet regularly in Belfast, Bangor, Lurgan, Ballymena and Derry-Londonderry. Come along and meet other young people just like you in or leaving care. You’ll feel supported and be inspired to take action on the things that matter to you.
You can look forward to fun activities and real conversations about care, and what could make it better. You’ll also meet with local decision-makers.

Together We Thrive New2NI Group
This forum meets regularly in our Belfast office and brings together asylum-seeking young people who have come to Northern Ireland without family. It’s a safe space to connect, feel supported and be part of a community.
We also host drop-in sessions with other organisations, so you can get support with the things that matter to you and can make a real difference to your life.
Youth Leadership Programme
This programme is for care-experienced young people aged 14 and over from across Northern Ireland. You’ll take part in youth leadership training to help you understand yourself, build confidence and develop your skills. You’ll also work towards a recognised OCN qualification. As you grow, you’ll have the chance to take on real leadership roles – both in VOYPIC and in your community – using your voice and making a real difference.
Link-Up
Link-Up brings care-experienced young people together to meet up, share experiences and enjoy fun activities in a relaxed, friendly space.
It’s a great way to make new friends, feel part of a community and get support from people who understand your journey.
Mentoring
We understand the challenges you face as you leave care and move into adulthood. So it’s good to know that VOYPIC offers tailored mentoring and peer support for young people aged 18 and up, primarily in the Belfast and Derry-Londonderry areas.
