Your Place

Our participation groups are where you can meet other young people in and leaving care, share your story, and make real friendships.

Come along to feel supported, build your confidence, and take action on the things that matter most to you.

Local Participation Forums

Meet others. Have fun. Make a difference.

We meet regularly in Belfast, Bangor, Lurgan, Ballymena and Derry-Londonderry.

Expect fun activities like art, cooking, and days out, and real conversations about care and what could make it better. The Forums also meet with local decision makers, to make sure young people’s voices are heard by those in power.

It’s all about connection, support, and having a good time with people who understand you.

Your voice matters, and this is a place to use it.

New2NI Group

A safe space to meet, connect, and feel supported.

Led by Angela, this forum brings together asylum-seeking young people who have come to Northern Ireland without family.

We meet regularly in our Belfast office, where you can make new friends, get involved in projects, and talk to people who are here to help.

We also host drop-in sessions with other organisations, so you can get support with the things that matter to you.

This is your space to feel safe, supported, and part of a community.

Leading Change – Young Leaders Programme

Build skills. Grow confidence. Lead change.

Leading Change is for care-experienced young people aged 14+ from across Northern Ireland.

You’ll take part in youth leadership training designed to help you understand yourself, build confidence, and develop your skills. You’ll also work towards a recognised OCN qualification.

As you grow, you’ll have the chance to take on real leadership roles, both in VOYPIC and in your community.

You’ll design and deliver training, share your experiences, and speak directly to decision makers about the issues that matter to young people in care.

Use your voice and make a real difference.

Young Reps Forum

Lead the way. Speak up. Shape the future.

Young Reps are youth leaders who help decide what we do and how we do it.

Open to care-experienced young people aged 16–25, this role gives you the chance to represent others, share ideas, and influence the decisions that affect young people in and leaving care.

You’ll meet regularly, connect with other young people, and take part in exciting opportunities like events, public speaking, and working with decision makers.

You’ll help design services, raise awareness, and make sure young people’s voices are heard at every level. Three Young Reps will also be members of the VOYPIC Board of Directors.

This is your chance to build confidence, develop new skills, and make a real difference.
