We want to spread some Christmas cheer among young people with experience of care. Would you like to help?

Christmas is a special time, and we want to make sure that every young person in care and leaving care can celebrate the festive period. Each year we distribute gift bags and Christmas hampers to young people in care and young care leavers across Northern Ireland, spreading festive cheer throughout the season.

This has been a difficult year for many, so we’re asking your help.

We particularly need your help in filling gift bags and hampers for young people, 16-25 years old, who have left care and are living on their own. Gift vouchers, including phone top-ups, utilities vouchers, and supermarket gift cards are especially welcome.

Other popular gifts include:

  • Hats, Scarves & Gloves
  • Stationery (eg. Pens, books, etc)
  • Toiletries
  • Homewares and decorations
  • Foods (please make sure all foodstuffs are ‘longlife’)
  • Sweet treats
  • Gift cards (eg. Love2Shop, All4One)

Gifts can be dropped off to any of the VOYPIC offices:

Belfast (9-11 Botanic Avenue, BT7 1JG)

Derry-Londonderry (9 Queen Street, BT48 7EG)

Lurgan (Mount Zion House, Edward Street, BT66 6DB)

Ballymena (6 Garfield Place, BT43 6EH – above Lloyds Pharmacy)

As many of the VOYPIC team are working remotely, out meeting young people, and delivering group work programmes, it’s best to give us a call on 028 9024 4888 in advance to make sure someone will be there to meet you.

Alternatively, we can purchase gifts on your behalf. Donations can be made online by clicking here.
