Coming
Into Care

We are a group of young people with experience of care, who come together at VOYPIC in the Belfast area. We have been working on this animated film, all about coming into care, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund . The aim of the film is to explain what care is all about, to young people who have recently come into care.

Coming Into Care

It tells them about the different types of care, like foster care, kinship care, and children’s homes. And, it shows how decisions are made, and how they can be part of decisions about their life and their care. It also tells them about the VOYPIC Independent Advocacy Service, where someone from VOYPIC can help to make sure they know about their rights in care, and that their voice is listened to. We hope you enjoy our film. Jessica, Ollie, Amina, Lita, Cameron, Sophie, Michelle, Finlay and Brandan VOYPIC Belfast Social Action Group
