Leading Change - Youth Leadership
The VOYPIC Youth Leadership Programme, Leading Change, is a regional project open to care-experienced young people, aged 14 years old and over, from across Northern Ireland.
Taking part in the programme, young people will get specially designed leadership training, leading to a qualification accredited by OCN. The programme aims to young people’s leadership skills, improving their self-awareness, confidence, and self-esteem.
Young leaders take on leading roles within VOYPIC and their local communities. Once trained, they design and deliver VOYPIC’s peer-led training programme, raising awareness of their experiences, and issues facing care experienced young people. They engage directly with local decision makers, to highlight issues impacting on those with an experience of care, and to influence decisions.
