We are excited to announce that we've received funding from the Public Health Agency under their Clear Project, Mental and Emotional Well-being and Suicide Prevention - 'Take 5' steps to well-being grant for our Mind Maze programme within the Southern Area. This programme is aimed at care experienced children and young people aged 13 and over. The funding will be used to develop a participative and active physical programme that will promote positive mental and emotional well-being by addressing the ‘Connect’, ‘Keeping Active’, ‘Take Notice’ and ‘Keeping Learning’ themes of the ‘Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing’ through:-

Interactive group sessions connecting eight care experienced children and young people together to learn protective factors such as relationship building, self-control, self- esteem, personal and social development and increase knowledge base of protective emotional wellbeing;

A residential programme where young people will become active in a range of outdoor physical activities;

Therapy sessions facilitated by a range of professional specialists focusing on meditation, relaxation, creative expression and mindfulness;

Provision of personal reflection and development of goal setting for participants.
